Topic: SFC3 is so damn boring!!! Can I have my money back??!!! (Read 2928 times)

After weeks of playing SFC2, SFC3 seems like a boring waste of time. Can someone refund the fifty bucks I spent on this piece of substandard crap so I can buy a real game or make a grocery run??? What a waste of money!!!! I won' t touch this thing unless they add new races for free and that will be just for the novelty value.

I was also very disappointed by the far to much simplified Gameplay of SFC3. I just expected something - hmmm - different.

I got bored quickly (done 100 Planetattacks *yawn*) and returned to my loved SFC2. In the last years i played SFC2 far to much and the price i payed for SFC2 does not reflect the Fun i had there ( i dont talk about all the trouble for now ).

Maybe it was just time to support Taldren again one last time ( and, damn, i am realy no fan of them ), just by buying that Product, that i dont like. For me, its my hidden way to say thank you, for all the great time i had with the previous parts of the SFC sequel.

With tears in my eyes i look back to the 1st SFC that introduced me to the unique world of this naval battle simulator placed in space. Sadly i observe the dying numbers of players in the SFC 2 lobby and already a long time ago i turned away from OP, not expecting a next patch anymore.

I dont like sfc3, but thats not Taldrens fault. Yes, i would not have bought it, if there would have been a Demo out there. So the wasted money i invested in SFC3 is finaly my way to say "good bye and thank you" to the classic SFC series.

knowing its useless, it´s time to step aside and let "the next generation" have their fun.

I actually quite like SFC3, even with the simplified game play. Especially with the powered up Romulans after the patch, and especially with multi-multi ship combat.

As the game stands, if we could increase the weapon arcs, say to 180 degrees, if Nuclear Wessels comes up with some great missions, and if a Dominion Wars mod is released, then the game will be a lot of fun. Seeing as the last two are happening, I think it's a bit premature to be asking for your money back.

But auction it off at E-Bay if you want.

Play the TNZ mod, thats worth 50 bucks on its own.

While I agree that SFC2 is considered by many to be the "standard", SFC Orion Pirates has been, IMHO, and shall be, a much better game for online (and once they get the patch out to fix the Dyna) game play.

Combine that with FireSoul's OP Plus Shiplist (with over 935 as close to if not perfectly SFB authentic) , the Co Op Script 3.01, and the EAW single player missions ported over to SFC OP, and you've got everything EAW was, but more!

When the OP patch is released, and yes, it WILL be released, the only reason people will still be playing EAW is :

human nature.

As for the poster of this thread, hasn't anyone that here seen flamebait before?

But TNG Combat is just so damn sterile - It just has no character to it
I never realised just how good SFC-EAW was until i played 3

Preying as always for GAW
(Now if only i can get my hands on- ohh about 2-3 million to make it
