More than two years ago...only a couple months after I made my first mesh.
It was and still is scary.
The ghastly engines get done first.
That was then...
This is now...

one of the four waves hand
-
*jabs hand in the air*
Well that'll teach you to use MSPaint to texture! LOL
New version looks very cool, will this be released for SFC?
-
I suppose I'm number 3 then.
Took you long enough to update this thing, I've updated my first ships dozens of times already and you're only on your 2nd version. Underacheiver
-
I remember also
-
Ooooooo a bonus reply. When the fourth chimes in I will have increased it's exposure by 25%!
Secondary hull is mostly done and I'll try to get a pick posted before heading out for a weekend of beer and live bands at Summerfest. Which is one of the most widely known summer music festivals in the country. Which makes me wonder why it's in Milwaukee. But i digress..
New sec hull has the deflector cut in to the front and the indented strip that goes all the way around its middle. Top to bottom middle that is.
blah, steak on grill....beer calls.

Heeeey! I remember that ship! As a matter of fact, I still have it. I also have your Beaous Aries Class Heavy Crusier and I performed a test kitbash with the model to make an Eagle Class Lilght Crusier. These two models help inspire me to learn Milkshape so i could make my own models.

Heck, I'm even thinking about using some design concepts of the Sirus class for SFB style X-ship classes I have in my head.
By the way, I like new engines, but I didn't mind the Ramp Scoops being more round like in the first model. Anyway, great to see you wanted to continue modeling.
-
Hmm..
Am I number four Anduril?
I'm pretty sure I have seen this ship before. Wow! What a difference! Thanks for sharing this with us.
Qapla!

well, I haven't seen it but the design looks great, what I can see of it anyways.
-
I rember this ship to good to see it revisited
-
There we go. Number 4.
How is that young one doing FireBlade?
Saucer is pretty basic so far. Playing around with making an aztec.
-
All Right!!!
Brooklyn Represent!!!!!

always amazing Anduril
Now where are those Romulans???
lol
-
Hi Anduri
Very nice Thank you for sharing with us. Your doing a fantastic job looking forward to seeing more in the near future.
-
Updated the previous shot with a slightly more complex aztec. Never mind the window pattern. They belong to the Himalaya.
Didn't even notice the Brooklyn in your sig Atolm. Passed close by in May on my way up to MA to visit Rick.
-
Anduril, maybe you can change the reg. no. to NCC-1957 and please make sure it doesn't warp off to L.A., dodging attempts to d/l it.
-
1957 is waaay to low for a ship of it's age and the reg comes from EAS - the guy who designed it made a shiplist, Anduril, the aztec looks very classy, if you do alternate regs could you do the Trafalgar NCC-10397, just being a bit patriotic right now

keep up the excellent work dude.
-
He's refering to "da bums".
-
Dey still is bumz.
-
Looking good Anduril
My son is now 16 Mths old now starting to talk and walk !
and trying to wreck my computer
thanks for the regs you did for me

I deleted an earlier post in this thread with a few mesh pics to save on the 56k'rs ......bandwidth.... heh.
Not much time this am to tinker so I started detailing around the with the bridge area and moved the windows around.
I'm still tossing around the idea of going with a 60 sided saucer and cutting the thrusters into the saucer. But of course that adds faces and I'm a bit over my goal at the moment.
-
Mini update.
Doing some minor detailing on the secondary hull. I decided to put some portholes in the centerline grooves of the saucer and sec hull. Which has gotten me to rethink the ugly tng era windows on the ship. I'll come to some compromise on them.
Work has slowed quite a bit. While helping put a window in I managed to lose a patch of skin about 1.5 by .5 of an inch down to the meat on the side of my index finger. At least I caught the window and saved 50 dollars or so. But I'll be paying for it in the next few weeks since half my job is wrenching on things.

Hi Anduril
Ouch!! I hope that you heal quickly, take your time we will still be here waiting.
My best to you and yours
-
Best wishes for a speedy recovery from your injury Anduril.

Mostly detail work as I've only just started coming up with a hull texture.
-
I thought about that when I was moving the mesh on the starboard nacelle to it's registry. So during lunch I did a quickie job on the texture sheet and found another spot that had just enough room for the faces to fit over without picking up someone elses detail. All the lower I can take it or else it slides down to what I consider the bottom and to quote Dana Carvey doing George H. "That's Baaaaad"
pic has been updated.
-
Hi Anduril
been playing the old version of this ship
looking forward to the new one
-
Yup...i remember it too...very nice ship, even nicer rendition
-
It's moving along. Slowly but steadily. The light maps are basic and unfinished. I just threw them together quickly for this last render.
-
If i may be so bold...the impulse engines dont look right..i cant really put my finger on it, but it seems off
-
-
if you did something to the engines they look better, if not it must have been the angle from which they were shown.
-
SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET

That looks awesome!! Dumb ? here, but is that an Ambassador, or a variant? Whichever, makes me want to dig out my ambassador and tinker.
Great job as always.

-
I like it.
-
Dag, brother! She be sweet.
-
She looks like another ship worthy of Enterprise lineage!
I am very impressed!
Gimme!
-
I especially like the saucer texture and the cool design of the impulse engines
-
bump for news
-

-
My favorite slacker! Stay in touch! Always good to hear from you.
Here it is.
Sirius Class USS Brooklyn
Just being stubborn and waiting till the count hit 40. I don't tend to so self serving bumps in my threads.

Just in their infancy, been taking a break trying out the BF1942 demo and redoing my fed warp engines.
