I just bought SFC3 today, downloaded and installed BETA patch.
Before I bought this I played a downloaded copy of SFC3 without the beta patch and had the exact same problem.
Everytime I load my campaign and click on the "accept" button to my mission, it CTD. If I load an old mission it also CTD. Anyone know what to do to fix this or what is causing it? I do not want to start my campaign over again cause I am already on mission 9.
Thanks.

Yes that's right, so what's your point?
Since there wasn't a demo out I decided to demo it on my own, which I liked it enough to go ahead and buy. Now that I bought it, I am habing problems with it because the halfway through each campaign the campaign won't load anymore, the same thing happened in the illegal copy I had, that was without the patch.
So anyone know how to fix this so the damn game will work?

HHB, I feel your pain, man. The only fix I was able to find was to remove the CD from my PC, gently place the CD on my desk, and use it as a coaster. That's the only way I've been able to run it without having my gameplay interrupted by bugs.
But seriously......
Search the forums for your answer....I think a lot of people have had similar problems. You might be able to find your answer there.

You cant play pre-patch games on patches versions of the game. You're gonna have to start over
Sometimes though, the files just become corrupted (Once, i didnt save, and it CTD, so i started the 'Exit save', but that CTD too - it was corrupted) All you have to do is delete the offending save game file (I have only seen it happen on the exit and auto saves) and it'll be recreated.

Looks like you're gonna have to not only delete the game through the add/remove interface...but you're gonna have to actually delete the directory too (the folder for sfc3).
This means a whole new install.
I know this seems like a pain, but I just don't know any other way to fix what sounds like a corruption problem.
Best,
Jerry
