Title: for those of us who cannot afford to buy 3dmax

any recommendations on a 3d editor? i am itching to try some of this stuff.. but you know, last time i did somthing it was in raydream studio a very long time ago...

Gmax is free and an easy to learn how to model but export to .mod isnt that easy , and there is Milkshape for 20$ Theres a plugin for milkshape to .mod somewhere.  Must not forget the mighty M6/sfced model editor
 Photoshop , paintshop pro or like is needed for textureing.

gmax? where can i find it? (i think i saw it on the descreet site?)

milkshape? where can i find it? (and the .mod convertor?)
