Hey guys,
Yesterday I had an amazing battle between a Human Sov and my Neghvar. Excellent game, that resulted in a double KO; i.e. we both killed each other in the end.
Have a great screen, but how do I post it in the Forums? Do I need a "website" to "host" the image?
Azrael

yes
-
Doh!
Any volounteers to host my image?
Azrael
-
OK, I now have my own web page.
How do I now display an image?
Azrael
-
Use the image tag. Specify the url of the image.
ie (note: image is intentionally misspelled)
[imaga]http://www.azraelsbitchinsite.com/knarlyawesomepicts/yougottaseethis.jpg[/imamga]
-
OK, let's see if this works. [image]http://www.geocities.com/krangb/night_vision.html[/image]
-
Bah,
Any advice as to what I'm doing wrong?
Cheers guys.

Maybe you have UBB off in your posts?
-
Try using this address: http://www.geocities.com/krangb/king.jpg
ie:
(hitting the 'image' button below the composition window...)
Chaos
PS: This image doesn't show up until you right-click on the place holder and select 'show imiage' from the menu, then it shows up, and if you try to get to the image by putting it's url into a browser directly, you get a Yahoo error message screen... Yahoo may be funny about hosting images, I don't know, as I DON'T Yahoo ;^)
PPS: Well, now it's not working at all... I think it's Yahoo, maybe they have some kind of hosting filter or something...

Number 1: You put the image tags around the address for the website. You need to include the
name and file type extension of the pic you want to display. Right click on my sig and scroll to
properties for an example on what it should look like.
Number 2: You are using GeoCities. If I am not mistaken, GeoCities does not allow remote
linking.
Your best bet? Send the pic to Toasty and have him host it. Just be careful that you don't
link to one of his sheep porn pics by mistake.

Try another hosting company. Is angelfire or Tripod still in business...don't know if they'll do any better or not for image hosting.
-
Lycos.co.uk is what I use. They are powered by tripod and hold up to 50 Megs, just watch out incase they delete all your stuff, never had it happen but im paranoid

If you want it hosted temporaroly while you set up your account, just send it to toasty or me and we will get you hooked up.
