As always my obsession with this ship rears it's ugly head. This incarnation centers on the warp engines. Wasn't happy with the warp channels so I redid the engines to save some faces. Some of them went to the intercoolers and some went to a more shapely channel. The remaining go off to poly heaven.

Excellent grille texturing dude - way cool
-
I agree! I'm waiting to see what the whole engine is going to look like!
-
Yea nice first stage flux chiller too....
Oh yea its coooool
-
Yeah, that flux chiller thingy. I know the job on the top/back of the saucer above the impulse housing is the linear accelerator. After that.....names kind of blur. If it's not a engineering hull or a warp engine it might as well be named dingwah.

DINGWAH!!! I think thats located inside the thingamabob, next to the whatchamacallit.

Seriously though, that looks awesome!!

Gosh, all I can do is look upon it with envy. I wished I could model and texture like some of you people. Anduril has gotten to be particularly good with some of his bit map textures. Photoshop and Max is too much for me to seriously tackle for a while, if ever. Ahem,... I like it.

Must be some fix I need...
A reshape of the rear tip. It's about the best I can do with a twelve sided cylinder at the rear since I cut it down from the 16 sides that are at the front . The ball got a bit of work and had it's postition adjusted since it needs to look like it's hanging and ready to fall from the nacelle as opposed to being stuck halfway into the back of it. Lightened up the texture on the square grilles on the sides and legnthed the little tip on the .....hmm...handles. A little drop shadow in the small connecting area between the nacelle and the rear assembly to simulate the slight indentation found there. I decided to leave the screws that hold the back to the nacelle out.
Large space age Phillips screws just don't make it.

Oh U mean the Warp Field Scanner and Warp Coil Intercoolers?
lol

Well I'm back from my vacation and I see that Obsession can be a good thing when it comes to working on Constitution class
models nice going Anduril looking forward to seeing the completed design.

Widened and flattened the boxes on the forward end of the beasties. I'll have to do some moving around of the weathering around them now. Still playing a bit with the pattern of the gray color but I'm pretty much down to the new bussards which are still in their infancy.
The Connie won't be the only recipient of these when they are finished. The reborn Belknap and McQuarrie will also benefit.

WOWOWOWOWOW
adam out
-
The Belknap and the McQaurrie you say? You make me very happy as I really like them. Perhaps even more than the frigate you redid. The Franklin was it?
-
It looooks mahvelous (Doing my best Billy Crystal impersonation of his Ricardo Montalbon(sp) impersonation). I can't wait to see them mounted and lit up.
-
Sweet Savannah, that is nice.
-
Awesome weathering!
-
A bit more done on the bussards. Trying all sorts of little things to get that look ...just right.

I like the rust on the shields, and I just noticed how nice the intakes are as well. Very true to what we see on the screen.
