I have textured a ship using 3d studio max5 and converted it to MOD format. When I view the Mod file there are parts missing from the ship.
What have I done wrong? Can some one help me?

Can you give a more detailed explanation?

Was thinking the same thing.
Is it the textures that are missing in places or actual parts of the ship?
Any chance of posting an ingame pic? Perhaps how it looks in max and how it looks as a mod file.
If its a texturing problem I might have an idea or 2.

Oh it looks like you have fliped polys. Im not sure why but if you mirror parts in max it sometimes flips the polys.
I have hell geting the polys fliped back in max , Use m6 to flip the polys back ,
IF the parts are seperate is export it to .mod and it will make a .mod with those seperate parts not a brk mod but a mod that parted out , then i use m6 model editor to flip the polys by useing the rewind option.

Yes it looks like flipped polys on the starboard side for sure, although Im not sure about the port engine that turned white, looks like it lost its material.
This is what I do: I re-import the exported model back into max then apply the edit mesh modifier . Then using the polygon or element selection button select the reversed faces , then click the "Flip Normals" button under the surface properties submenu in the edit mesh modifier menu. I then re-export the fixed model . Everything should be cool then...
Good Luck!

also make sure your textures are: 256x256,512x512,1024x1024 otherwise they show white ingame
