yes i was very amazed to install the mod after 1.5+ hours waiting time....yes i ve dial....
like i ve seen in other threads we were all complaining about same stuff....lod and textures.
some models need high res textures bad.ever played the mirak ncc? its low res and you see white flickering and texture warping.and most fed ships based on fsb have low lod and resolution...even on my gf4200ti with max fsaa and anisothropic filter maximised it looks.....worse than sfc1.
my sfc2 early ca
op 3+ model
sfc1 ca
you can see the sfc:op ship looks worse compared to sfc1....no lighting effects at all....so better go back to the drawing board mr.3+ graphix designer lol

i hope to get a pleasent texture update soon, but he really should keep in mind that not all have broadband.....

I think you're missing the point.
My FCA: good. It's the early model for pre-plus refit CAs.
Low Poly count. Bleh. I can always install the low-res FCA pack from Lord Schtupp's. It's got to be med or low res to work properly on lower-end machines which are still being actively used for SFC.
-
If he wants the hi res models then he can darn well put them in there......On second thought, I want my damn money back Firesoul!!! How dare you sell such an inferior product....... What??? you mean it's done for free???? Well then what this guy complaining about?!?!?
-
ONe word:
WAAAAAAmbulance!

Maybe he needs to go down to the Mickey D's and get him some French Cries and a Wahhhburger to go with his Weineken. ;-)
-
It's.... Ummm.... Well, free. At least for us, anyway. I imagine he's paying the cost for the bandwidth he chewed up from everyone downloading.
I guess I can see why you'd be disappointed with the models he chose, but he did mention that he did not spend much time selecting them, and that some may not be the cutting edge of what is out there. But he still took the time to do all this, and he included a smaller, non-model version. He also took the time to tell everyone how to put in thier own models if they were not pleased with those he included.
I, for one, am grateful he took the time to do all this in the first place.
-
Oh, I spent enough time.

.. actually.. a lot of time.
-
Plus, this is version 1 of the models mod. Who knows what could end up in future versions.
As it is I'm glad to have something like this out and about and if it's used for D2 play it will certainly be welcomed by many who have been waiting for the opportunity to stick their favorite models into the game.
Simple fact, it makes more folders available to the stock game and you can switch out any you don't like (switch out any of mine, and we'll talk.
)

Hey Firesoul here's an old pic of Atrahasis' version of a Trek ship based on an actual physical model:

This is an older retexture job for the Khamby Class. I use it as a light carrier/torpedo fire support cruiser for House Korgath.
My current version uses the red/black textures by Pataflafla and use additional textures by Cleeve from his K' teremeny.
I was thinking this could make a tug too.

Hey. That looks Familiar......

The DV7 design was ultimately rejected for several reasons. The boom proved structurally unsound, as the bay section (perforated by the launch tubes) was hung from the frame rather than being part of it as would have been the case with a Hydran ship.

That's just what I was thinking. With normal D7 Engines of course.

well.. the klingon tugs are covered. I just need permission from someone and the D5H is set to go.
