Title: Pre-TOS Al-Burak Class CVA WIP

OK, while I'm finishing up texturing manitobas tosakira, I had the modeling bug, so made this this a.m. It's from SFM, the Al-Burak class carrier. I'm going with USS THUNDERBIRD as the name, as it sounds good and it is one of the names listed at SFM for this class. I will also be doing the PENGUIN fighter that goes with this ship...pretty cool looking little mama-jama!

PS: Comes in at 4900polys.

I never liked the pretos thick looking sacer sections but you makeing it look cool   Good Job Sandman

Thanx! I think a lot of the distaste for the pre-TOS saucer is that most are only seen in 2d pics at SFM...Making the model makes it look better since it's 3d...at least that's the way I reasoned my penchant for pre-TOS, lol. This one is actually turning out better than I 1st thought it would; when I 1st encountered it at SFM, I didn't like it. Now that I'm making it, it's actually looking pretty dang cool.

Very Nice!.  Your getting this down to a science. Watch out for them there modeling bugs    hehe

Thanx, hehe, yeah there's no known innoculation for the modeling bug, lol.

On another note, when I do the Penguin fighter that goes with this, how would I get it into the game? Is it the sprites folder or something like that? I want to include the fighter with the carrier d/l so you can replace or add to the game. Thanx for any help.

There is a fighter shiplist seperate from the normal shiplist in 2 and OP,  can add it in there. For sfc3 got me i dont mod that game anymore.

Great! That'll make it easier. I don't have SFC3 either, everything I do is for 2/OP.

Finished the texturing on her, below are a couple of pics...pretty bare I know, but I'm trying to keep with the style that Masao Okazaki designed 'em with, so...

Keep an eye on this thread for pics of the Penguin fighter also...I'll be starting that today more than likely.
