I just spent the last few days gathering enough prestige to finally buy a Borg Cube. Now that I have one though, I can't seem to do as well against bases/shipyards as I did with my diamond. Everytime I start a mission one of my weapons needs to be repaired and after I start the fight I automatically get pounded down to half of my hull (losing most of my weapons). Is there some sort of glitch or am I doing something wrong? I imaged that the cube would fair better against a battlestation than my diamond did.

Sounds like you are going from one mission to another without stopping at a base.
Remember: Borg armor (unlike other races shields) do NOT regenerate after a mission. You MUST go to a base to repair any armor damage (at no cost).

Actually, the weapon thing is a bug.

Each time I had the cube completely repaired (it was at full both times then suddenly went to 50-60% when fired upon).
It occured to me after I posted, could it be that the Cube is so large it collides with everything (not just planets, bases etc)? It could be that I was colliding with an enemy ship (that explains the massive amount of system and hull damage). Can anyone confirm this?

Are you using the Beta Patch on SFC III or Out Of Box version?
the Beta Patch fixes collision with enemy ships by making the Borg Cube unable to collide with enemy ships (or friendly ones) but yet keeps it to where it will still collide with bases and astroids and planets.. basically making it act like every other ship in the game...
the Beta Patch also fixes over 150 other game bugs plus gives you the Direct X 9 patch, the Borg Mini Campaign, and the Nemesis Add On all in 1 shot...
if you decide to get the Beta Patch.. First Uninstall SFC III
Delete the SFC III folder out of C:\Program Files\Activision folder
then reinstall SFC III, Patch using Beta Patch only.. do not get any other patches for SFC III or they will corrupt the game...
then try your Borg Cube in a Skirmish against a Starbase and see now it works.. then you can join a Patched D3 server, and / or start over on your single player Conquest Campaign.. only this time, being more lethal...
hope that this information helps

I am using SFC 3 out of box (all I downloaded was the DirectX 9 fix). I was a little standoff-ish since it was only a beta patch. I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the help!
Also, do I have to start over with my single player conquest campaign or can I just backup my save folder before unistalling/deleting SFC3?

Ok, I reinstalled and patched using the beta. The only glitch I seem to get now is that every so often by tachyon pulse weapon appears damaged (red or offline) when I start a mission (even if I just got my ship fully repaired).
