Title: Editing SFC3
Post by: Merc_2k on August 13, 2003, 10:02:07 am
Before I got SFC3, the only SFC game I had was the first one.  Is this one as easy to edit as the first one was (ie are the stats stored in a spreadsheet again)?

merk.. is a bit different.. the stats are set into 2 different files.. default core and default loadout.. the loadout contains the type of weapons each ship has and assigns them to which hard point. the default core assigns ship stats and arcs..

unfortunately there is not ship edit program, so we are left to edit in excell.

Cool.  Thanks.
BTW, why does everyone say "merk"?

EDIT:  Ok, what settings do I need to set going in and out of excel with these files?  It says "features will be lost..." etc.  Also, does changing the view size of a cell (double clicking the edge of the letter heading) so as to view the whole contents of a row change anything with the file?

no resizing wont mess up the file.
