Or did I just miss something here?
It charges in 1.5 turns, not 3.
It only does 20 max damage, not 30 like the damage chart says it does.
It seems to have the range of a plasma S (25), but an extended plasma G chart for damage. ( I have to fully test this to find out)
So it seems we have a fast loading plasma G with extended range and a neat little kicker (the slow down factor).
Dave? Anyone?

To the best of my knowledge, it's always been 2 turns to load instead of 3.
Some gorns griped about it when OP was released saying that even with 3 shots over the space of 6 turns it still was not as powerful as a Rom X torp at 40 pts times 2.

The charge rate is a bug.
The damage, since ship, has always been 20.

Agreed.
It fits the Gorn combat philosophy (close range plasma strikes) well with fast loading. And Strafer is correct in pointing out that in 6 turns, the current plasE has the same damage potential as Rom's plasX. (4*20 = 2*40) Which is fair IMHO.
So dave, this is actually a good thing <tm>, and doesn't need to be fixed IMHO. (for once, something that doesn't need a fix...)

Somehow, I get this . . . vague suspicion that fixing said bug was not the foremost thought on Mr. Ferrells mind.
