I was wondering, can you add a brand new weapon to SFC3 without overwriting an existing one?

Where the hell is this data being stored?!? I've been through almost every file and can't seem to find where certain data is kept (top speeds, texture references, weapon scripts etc).

that info is hard coded into the game engine and is not editable...
