Title: Maybe some one from Taldren can Help ?!?

Hello,

Yesterday I got my new computer and after installing SFC3 the game ran fine.  I then went to the microsoft web page and installed all the reccommended updates as well as the latest DirectX (9.0b).  Since then the game will load and I can connect to the dynavervese.  However, I cannot enter combat or do missions (this is regardless of wether I play multiplayer, singleplayer or any other mode of the game).  I crash to desktop with the following error message.

Unhandled Exception! in Version 1.01 Beta 2 Build 500
SFC3.exe caused an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION in module d3d8.dll at 001B:02B782F7

any ideas would be appreciated

Get the patch and install it. That'll solve your exception error.

i had same problem after uüpdating my system witha new board and cpu.i simply reinstalled game and it worked afterwards.
