Post by: IndyShark on February 07, 2003, 09:19:13 pm
I am waiting anxiously for the OP patch. Is there any news for us die hard OP fans?

It is being worked on. It will not contain any Dyna fixes.  Progress is good.

The Dyna fixes are being handled by Arcticfire and he is not ready yet.

Thanks,

Dave

So that means you will be putting out at least two more patches for OP? One to give the EAW ports and another to address D2 issues?

We are working on testing another build of OP now. There was a major bug discovered in the last build, and David thinks he killed it this go 'round. Soon everyone, soon. OP is being actively worked on and tested.

I ask this expecting the answer"No", but is there any chance that the issue of correctly displaying the cartel DV, as opposed to the empire DV,  when you right click on the cartel map.

This is D2 related and therefore excluded by previous posts, but on the off chance that is a very simple change, could it be addressed. It would serve to add a LOT to the D2 gameplay. Of course if it is too complex an issue then it should be left 'til later.

It's not fixed yet, but sounds like it would be do-able if I have to go back in for something.

Thanks,

I for one and glad to hear that Taldren is still actively working on the older games like OP. I think it shows a dedication not commonly found in the business world these days. You could  be concentrating only on SFC3, and it would seem perfectly natural if you were, but you're not. Thanks for all the hard work guys and gals.

How do you determine what patch level you are at? For either OP or SFC3?

At the lower right corner of the launch screen of both games you'll see a little tiny number, EAW is 2.0.0.1 out of the box, and OP is 2.5.0.0 out of the box.  After the patches they change, latest being EAW: 2.0.3.6, OP: 2.5.2.5
