I'm giving this a bump so more folks get a chance to read it. Also, is this the actual link to the virus or is it a link to check out? If it is the actual virus you might want to edit it to kill it so nobody accidently goes there.

This looks like a real nasty virus.  Here is some more information and also a program fix for this virus:

http://www.bitdefender.com/html/virusinfo.php?menu_id=1&v_id=158

This page has the removal tool at the bottom of the page.  Just click the link and it should start to download.  Hope this helps.

Rod,

C'mon, Bro, do you honestly believe I would link to a virus?

Best,
Jerry

That's quite professional looking. Finally, a virus author makes an effort with the UI.

I confess, they did a gorgeous job of setting this virus up, from a social engineering point of view. I was 95% sure I had trained my mother better than to open it (She's pretty savvy), but I called home to give her a heads up anyway, just to be sure. Heck, if I hadn't heard about it even I might have, and I do helpdesk support.

Glad the payload wasn't nastier, or this one could have been a real problem.
