You have to use the K-BB SSD and not the K-DN one, if you want the weapons to fire form the right locations. Hardpoints 1 and 2 are the twin fwd torp launchers or they could be disruptors, and 3 and 4 are heavy weapons that fire from the front of the engines.

I'll bet...
Very nice.

Fabulous! Simply fabulous! I adore your Klingon textures! They are not easy to make I am finding, having a bit of a hard time making my own right now!
-
looks a bit silly IMHO, but great model never the less.
-
OK, I am sufficiently freaked out, LOL.
Well done Atrahasis!
Another fine addition to the FASA to SFC Collection.
This makes EIGHT Komo Val ships or varient's.
L-24A Atrahsis (don't have)
L-24A retexture
L-24 P81 TOS style
L-24 kitbash (two heads Tos Style)
L-24 TMP Retexture Atrahahsis
L-24c D2 mod (3 engines) Atrahahsis
L-24 Phoenix D2 Mod (Romulanized) P81
K' Mirra
Thank you Atrahasis!

Silly???
In what way? I think it looks very nice! It looks like, uh, what do you guys call it, L-24 or something? It's a nice job and yes, the textures are very... well, to quote someone else aboard another starship (I'm sure the true geeks will know... ), "... how pleasing to the eye it is... ".

I never said it wasn't a nice looking model, it just the idea of a klingon ship with excelcior nacelles is a bit strange.

nice.

I dunno. If you ask me, it's about as strange as the Vor'cha's having red engine glows after years, even centuries of green for Klink vessels. However, I must admit that the notion of Starfleet's sharing parts of its most advanced design about a decade into construction is a bit wierd...
Who cares. Again, very good.

technicly, the BOP didn't fallow this rule, and the Ktinga had blue nacelle grilles.

Klingons should be grey, damn it!!! If it wasn't for The Search for Spock's script getting leaked out, they still would be. lol
...and Klingons should still have disruptors, not photons!!! ...and Romulans should still have Plasma torps not disruptors!!! ...and they should still be evil. ...and... Never mind, nobody cares.
I'll just open another beer and enjoy the green, photon toting, ridge browed, good guys. (yuck!)
-
What's this about them being green cuz the script was leaked?
-
Anyways Nice looking ship Atra nice to see you back in action!
-
Since the Narendra III incident (after which the Feds and Klinks became allies) doesn't take place until at least 2340, the time frame for the Fed-Klink alliance that FASA originally proposed is quite off. However, this ship still kicks ass....you can even pretend it wasn't a tech exchange but tech espionage by the Klingons re the transwarp. I'll write up some useful specs for this ship in a bit, which will be at my site.
-
Damn sweet ship Atra! Can I use it in my mod?
KF, you forgot my TNZ remesh of the L-24 in your list. It's available in the current TNZ mod if you can get it from anyone.
-
Very nice ship, Atra! I'm not a huge FASA-style fan, but I like this one.
Thanks for your work on it. Like others, I've always really liked your Klingon textures too. The color scheme is much more preferable to me than the more green-oriented textures that seem to be prevalent.
Have you given any more thought to working on some TMP-style Klingon carriers in the vein of your D5, C7 and C5 works? It sure would be nice to have some carriers designed along those lines that were still pretty easily distinguishable from their non-carrier counterparts.
-
Hey KF!
Where could I find those variants you listed?
So far I have just two: the K'mirra and what looks like the L24 as it appears in FASA's Klingon Ship Recognition Guide.
Any way you could post images/links of these variants as well?
Thanks!

Here are the stats you can use for the Kmirra. I have a system, based on the F-FCA, and taking direct measurements of the actual models using 3DSMAX.
Notes: Since according to TNG the Klingon-Federation Alliance did not form until after the year 2340, the start date of 2300 for this ship is a bit early. However, you can just imagine that the Klingons acquired Federation technology not via an alliance at the time, but via espionage.
Here are the stats, translated into SFC terms from the FASA numbers:

Here's the fx1.bmp texture I made that changes all phasers to a nice yellow-green to make them seem more like Klingon or alien disruptors. Phaser-B and Phaser-4 become a nice light blue. Try it, you'll like it! It gives Klingon ships a more authentic feel.

Yo Atra, maybe you missed my request among the legions of fanfare over this great new ship! May I use it in my TNZ mod?
-
Sure, as long as it retains the readme giving credit to me and P81 for the work.
-
Right on Atra!

@specs*
For a while, there was no need to have the Enterprise-B Subtype in SFC. It's a nice ship, but over the top when it comes to strength,
Considering that an L24 could take an Excelsior, and that the KDF-2 is a large improvement over that ship, I think that EB specs are a good idea, now.
-
This ship is a TMP-TNG interim ship, let us know how it plays in your opinion.
-
K'mirra vs. Excelsior
It's rather interesting to play with. I thought that combining disruptors with heavy photons would end up being a bad idea, but the power curve is fair, it seems to be on a par with an Excelsior. It sometimes feels bogged, but resolves itself. I bested the computer with this ship all times. AI admittedly isn't the most crafty opponent, but I tend to come away with minimal damage, leaving me with the impression that the K'mirra is an equal, if not superior vessel.
I play it much like I do your BOP specs. Instead of fighting with all weapons hot, I'll use them in groups. This allows one to maintain a fairly high speed, and many attack options. I don't reccommend attack passes and overruns. With a turning ratio of E and 2 points for every 1,000 K, you're setting yourself up for internal damage. The best weapons are the MIssiles, which occupy phasers, and Heavy Torpedoes, which are devastating with multiple hits, shields up or down. The disruptors and phasers are better saved to take advantage of downed or weak shield facings, as I think that they're in too low of numbers to do anything drastic beside piss off your opponent.
To make a long story short, I see the K'mirra as a very fun ship. It's capable of being a brute, but is better and more fun with used with a tactical mindset. I think that a ship like this justifies speculating an Enterprise-B into the game, as its counterpart in Excelsior is fairly matched by the Komo'Val and quite vulnerable against the K'mirra.
