Finally, there's a place to see every Fleet that ever played Starfleet Command! After countless hours of research and even more putting it all together, I am proud to announce "Allegiance" has been officially launched. There is a list of over 160 fleets there that have played and still play in the SFC universe. Included for each fleet info page is their logo, and their online headquarters, among other things.
I invite those interested to have a look around. I hope those in the know would help correct any mistakes and help fill in the blanks by contacting me. If you know of a fleet that isn't on the list, please let me know that too. So, without furthur ado, check it out:
Allegiance
Have fun!!
Note- I've changed the location of the site (it's still at Geocities for now for those who've seen this already) the URL above has been changed to reflect this)

Thanks Komodo.
As a former rank 10 of House of Chang (StarLance gaming league) I am honored at our mention.

Great work Komodo. Thank you all the long hours of effort you put into it!
-
Komodo,
Thanks for the mention of my fleet.. the Elite Federation Force (EFF).
I noticed the logo that you are showing.. however, that is our Old logo
our current logo is this one..

Hope this helps your site...
Currently we play on both D3, some on D2.. mainly myself.. but most stay on GSA playing Fun games.. not much interested in ladder matches.. but we can hold our own..
we were formed 2 days after the release of Starfleet Command in 1999
Our fleet was founded by David Savage, aka, Flt. Adm. Savage.. however he left the fleet at the end of 2000 and the fleet was taken over by Lord D, D.. current Fleet Admiral. his Screen ID will show as EFF-F_ADM-D. I took over the Fleet during 2002 and part of 2003, but i turned command of the fleet back over to D and as such he is still current Fleet Admiral.
Just some info for our spot on your site.

Thanks to the generosity of Tanis of PGC, Allegiance now has a new home HERE!
No more pop-ups!
I'll add updates as I get the time...
Thanks for the positive response so far

LOL...deciding who Chang was that day was part of the fun.
Evil Bob: Hammond, you're Chang.
Hammond: No, Bob, I''m you and you're Edgewise
Denali: Who?
Evil Bob: C'mon, Little D, join HoC so I don't have to kill you anymore.
Denali: Hmmm...
Hammond: Bob, have you seen CD? I think Chang wants him.
Evil Bob: You spoke to Chang?
Destroyer: Evil Bob is Chang!
Evil Bob: Shut up, Destroyer. Hey, I've had 23 beers and I think you and denali there have a chance to beat me tonight. Wanna try?...

And when the Aussie sisters arrived man things would get real interesting, but that's for another forum and another time.

Wondering here what PC is...?
Good stuff Tar

PC = Pirates Cove
Patch and Drakk were the leaders. They were the most trusted ally of GSG in the SL campaign. We had some good battles against RPG, whose planet was unfortunately dumped into a hostile sector by the SL admins. To the north of RPG was an apparent Romulan ally, the Birds of Prey, however BP defied the Romulan Senate's control, so they were outcasts. l admired BP's independence (and RPG's honorable ways) enough to secretly offer RPG an alliance after a senselessly bloody war over their homeworld of Gorilon. This was likely an act of treason by GSG against the Gorn Confederacy yet it was the right thing to do and my fleetmates were onboard. The SL campaign was shaping up to be great fun when the plug was pulled.
-
I remember hearing bits n bites of the Romulan heirarchy, and remember how much of it was shrouded in mystery. If you weren't Rihannsu that is...
I also recall getting campaign news in bits n bites the same way. Me being in the lower echelons at the time, those little tidbits were few and far between sometimes LOL. It was so cool how alliances were formed, plans drawn up, and a little espionage here n there to make things interesting. The SL campaign was totally awesome! I rather wish I had a bigger part in it LOL

We almost went to war with the klingons over those troublesome BP rebels. The ever expansive klingon fleets wanted to deal with the irritating BP upstarts, and claim their territory to boot.
Of course the senate couldn't allow that...they may be pests but they were our pests. We would deal with them
In any case the cowardly klingon dogs backed off, and we would have eliminated tne thorn in our side if only that campaign had been allowed to continue. ;;sigh;;

Gotcha WaterTiger and thanks for the extra info
You're fixed up there.
I'm currently working on adding a few more fleets at present. Does anyone have any info on the following:
FT- Fleet Terminators
ICC- Imperial Claw Clan (Starlance Lyran fleet)
XTF (D2 fleet?)
MCG (Federation D2 fleet)
Anyone who has any info on any fleets I have listed or otherwise, don't hesitate to drop me a line. This includes any fleet logo's! I still need some of those. Thanks to all who've helped out so far!

Theres an article about it on the front of the clan directory now

Nice site. Well done Komodo.
Couple of things.
MFD was Mirak Fangs of Death. Formed late 2000 and played in the Starlance League. Winner of 2 cycles in SL in early 2001. Disbanded in April 2001. Became the PHD-Patriarchs Honor Den formed by PHD-Kahn and PHD-Razorback (KOTH-SteelClaw) in April 2001, and came in 5th place in SL their first cycle. Disbanded in July 2001 and went to become the GFL MIrak, then became KOTH in December 2001.
-
Very Nice.
Will fill in the blanks for the GFL, once I know enuff information.
-
Thanks Fluf! I was hoping someone would get MFD for me! I'll get crackin on this

You know what Katie!? I just realized I should have a link to your place in there!
*smacks forehead*
I'll do that SAP

AQL - that brings back many happy memories - my first fleet.
Komodo, HMT doesn't seem to be on the list - House of Martok during SFC2 SL era. Made up from some DOA and MT I think.

I wondered about that...MT and HMT were 2 different fleets?

Komodo,
More Background on FDA and RDA to add to your site. I was a member of both fleets in SFC2.
FDA was a highly decorated fleet that lasted for more than one year. It was founded by RDA_Thor and ol' Legacy. Those who spent any time in GameSpy surely remember Legacy, who is now a rank 8. Thor is also a rank 8.
Thor and Legacy are father and son. DP was Legacy's cousin, and also a member and excellent pilot in both fleets.
RDA disbaned over internal politics and command squabbles, and myself and several members left to join 14G. FDA won several top GS awards, as did many of the players. I actually ranked 5th overall during one cycle last year.
Within months, Thor and Legacy created another fleet -- RDA: The Renegade Demonic Alliance. It was a Klingon fleet. This fleet had some of the best Klingon pilots in GameSpy. They lasted for about six months, but were disbanded two months ago. RDA won the highest GS award -- top fleet, second and third in consecutive 90-day GSA cycles.
Thor changed his name to RDA_Fek'ler, and was the founder of RDA with Legacy at his side. Legacy also changed his name, but for the life of me I cant remember it.
Unfortunatley, many of the SGC2 fleets went to the wind when GZLeagues pulled the plug and GameSpy took over the ladder. I don't know if it will ever recover.
Oh, and since the guide is so comprehensive, we have added it to the links page at BOTAKnights

Thanks for getting AoD in there
Nearly brought a tear to my eye when i saw it reading down the list.
BTW, what is the total count for the fleets at the moment?
Thanks
Tus
-
Glad to add them in

Not positive, but I believe it's up to about 175 now!
I think I've created a monster LOL
-
Still no update on FDA and addition of RDA. Just checked.
-
Sorry- I just haven't had time the last few days (and the next couple)- rest assured it's in the works!
What's up next:
-update FDA
-add RDA: The Renegade Demonic Alliance
-add TFD: TaskForce Delphinus
-add GDT: Gorn Dragon Templers
-update GDA: Gorn Dragon Alliance
-add BHG: Blue Horde Guys and BPF: Blue Plague Fleet
-update GPF: Grand Pirate Fleet
Still looking for info on XTF and any others, of course.
-
Komodo,
We have added your comprehensive and historical sight to our links page. Thanks for the hard work.

Tus
-
Thanks Indy- I look forward to it

Got it updated Edwards
189- far out! That's a lot of yesterday and today. I'm still open to anything I've missed. My biggest regret is fleets that have come and gone, and I can't find any reference to them, and will be forgotten otherwise...
-
OK- finally got things up to date

FYI, I've also added in a bit on the fleets intro page
If there's nothing else to add, I'll Zip it up soon for those who want to save it on disk...

Founder of KGS is KGS-Kaylus-Kon csviper3@hotmail.com if you want to contact him directly for more information on his fleet.
I served as KGS-Jo-Chueh on Mplayer for around a 18 months, from the release of SFC to a few months into SFC2.
Kaylus Kon is a great guy. A mellow firefighter. And he, if anyone, truly understood what it is to be Klingon.
Last known KGS webpage:
http://www.kgs.homestead.com/kgs1.html
No longer operational....

Not sure if this link will work for everyone, but try it...

His MSN profile. Haven't seen him online for a long while, though he last updated his profile February this year. I'd like to get in contact with him again.
I think KGS deserves a little more than a blank page. It will be my personal effort to get you the logo. But definitely mention "Kaylus Kon" as the founder, thanks. BTW I'm not at all blaming you for not finding this stuff.
If not for your website, I wouldn't have even thought of KGS again, probably. But you've brought back the memories, and those were truly glorious times. May your host provide a long-standing time capsule of SFC history, in the event that SFC and Star Trek are indeed coming to a close. Thank you....
KGS-Jo-Chueh
-
One more thing... this may be kind of a philosophical change, so it's totally up to you... but I think maybe you should set the "Status" of all the Disbanded fleets to "Remembered"... Disbanded means forgotten, or at least implies that... and I will never forget KGS... no, as long as someone feels that they are a part of KGS, it is NOT disbanded! And that applies for all the fleets that anyone ever felt passionate about. So if you feel it appropriate, either change all the Status to "Active" or change the Disbanded to "Remembered".
Thank you.
KGS-Jo-Chueh (Always)
-
Well, like you said, this is the place where all fleets are remembered. I had to really put some thought into some of these terms that would apply across the board. Actually, 9th Reprisal (formerly USFC Reprisal) made a similar remark, and referred to units in the US Marine Corps where units were absorbed into other units, and the colors were kept (or something to that degree), that way they weren't disbanded outright. I decided to stick to simple terms, eliminating any confusion here.
Thanks for the info Jo-Chueh
(BTW- I remember you!)
You know, I got thinking about how so many players have come and gone, and wouldn't it be cool to have a place for them too. Plus those who are still with us today, of course. I had given up on the idea, but now I keep getting attracted back to it, and even thought of a nice way to do it. If I were to do so, I'd do it in a "Wall of Fame" style. Or maybe there is a brave soul out there who'd like to take this on and I'll add it to Allegiance? It'd be the icing on the cake for sure!

Thank you.
