The personal pics displayed on your forums have changed in size, and many are just too blurry now.
They were fine before.
They are blown up out of proportion now.

Are you talking about the avartars?

Yes

Yes, sometime about three hours ago, and the avatars got bigger ... It's not my browser settings, it's the box window you use. They are larger in "home" also. If you notice, everyone's got bigger ... i have an 80x80 avatar (Klingon flag) and it's bigger now -- like you sized up the pic sizes in the forums.
Hey, it's your forum, I'll live with it.

I got that, Gollum looks ever so slightly distorted....

Hmm...your avatar has always been distorted.
Seriously though, can you list your OS and Browser specs. One of the Admins wants check to see if the CSS is rendering correctly for your version, make, and model.
Btw, I'm showing your image at 80x80.
Best,
Jerry

Hehe .. Sure I'll list it all, but it's not just me sir. We are ALL seeing ALL avatars bigger since this afternoon.
Windows XP Home Edition
768 ddr ram
2 gig Athlon AMD XP
Internet Explorer (latest) ... updates and Netscape 7.1 (btw, try opening www.taldren.com in Netscape ... (DOESN'T WORK) doh!
MSI G-Force4 (NVidia drivers) TI-4200 128 MB ddr video card ...
MSI KT3 Ultra2 motherboard VIA KT-333 chipset
512/1.5 meg cable connect with Charter Pipeline.
The system is clean; ran Norton and AVG this morning. Defragged this afternoon, cuz I knew you would ask. I updated Windows yesterday.
Ask around ... I'm not the only one seeing the graphics below our names on the left larger. They look about 30% larger. Just enough to make them blurry. The siggies seem fine, it's just the pix or avatars.
Put this in your browser: http://www.atsklingon.com/assets/images/an_keflag.gif
It used to be exactly that size on your forums.
Thanks for the help.

Hmmm.....test for my avatar, I'm pretty sure it's the same size as always.
-
This is Odd, as everything seems to be showing the same on my screen. properties show them to be 80 x 80 Pixels still.

The Avatar is the same size -- 80x80 -- yes. But someone on the other end hit the enlarge button for the little window where the avatars are placed, which affected the whole forum.
Right now I can go to the StarFleet Command Information Center forums, and the window goes to the "T" in my name. It looks like my avatar used to here. ASt Taldren since noon PST, when I hold the cursor over it, the box covers the length of my name, thus the graphic fills the box made available for the avatar.
I hope I am explaining this right.
The size of the graphic didn't change, but they get enlarged automatically when the box is made bigger.

OK, I doubled checked the StarFleet Command Information Center forums -- which uses EXACTLY the same format as Taldren -- and the box that holds the avatars there is 2 cm wide. The one here before noon PST was the same size. Now it's exactly 2.5 cm wide, thus the graphics are filling the box made available making them distorted.
I don't know what's going on with Netscape, but the jpg links when opened there are busted -- and this is the ONLY website I am having issues with.
Sorry for my attention for detail.

No need to apoligize at all. we appreciate the information you are giving us there.

Clear your Netscape CACHE and try opening the pages. Dead jpgs.
That, however, is a separate issue from the avatars being bigger.
Have Nanner check it out. He admins both forums. Have him compare his avatar at Taldren and the Star Fleet Command Information Center forums. He will see it right away.
I have waaaay too much time on my hands.
Tigger

ahhhhhhh.
You made the whole sidebar bigger -- no wonder. Check out some old posts. The thin white line separating the name, avatar, location etc. from the forum post is wider now., thus forcing the graphics to be bigger, and probably throwing off the Netscape browsers, too.
I'm really not nuts here.

It looks bigger on IE6 and change as well...
-
Yip, it's bigger on IE6, which is what I normally use. Just wanted them to know that anyone accessing through Netscape may not even be able to get here.
WaterTiger

Ok, this just in. The former size was 48x48. 80x80 is the new size so you might wish to act accordingly.
Best,
Jerry
-
Well, just change it back.
rofl
Your pinata is all blurry, too ... Hell, check out Dallas' poor cute kitty. Look at Edwards blurry booger now!!!
We could always use the 80x80 anyways. "They" didnt need to change anything, sir.
If I have to have a blurry Klingon flag, I'm calling the chancellor and warping to your sector.

This is a revolt to revert!

Ok, yea, the issue is that we have the same room, but the image is distorted to fit in the room provided, right?
Easy solution if you can edit your pictures (specificly .gif) takee the original (original frames on an amimated) and add on up to the 80x80, and make the extra you added transparent if you have PSP or PhotoShop and made the image yourself.
Heh, ive got stuff to play around with

Exactly. I'm lucky, the original is much bigger so I can make a new pic. For those who do not have that option merging your current image with a 80x80 black BG is an easy solution.
For you animated gif folks...well all I can say is sorry about that.
