Title: Patch rumor - confirm please
Post by: Warden on October 22, 2003, 04:40:29 am
I just heard a rumor from a player on D3 that the "official patch" will be released sometime this week.  Can someone confirm or deny this?

While Activision is in charge of releasing SFC3 patches,
I would highly doubt this as we are currently still wrapping
up the last bugs.

Thanks,

Dave

Thanks Dave for confirming what some of us suspected ... I'm sure that Activision will likely spend a while reviewing the changes Taldren has worked out, then kick it back for some final fixes.

I thought the patch rumor was too good to be true.

Hope the move went well. We miss you in California, sir.

I think some people are confusing the TNZ patch with the Taldren patch. I told some people that I was doing some work on the Taldren patch, which should be no surprise since I'm on the beta test team. I've also had to tell about 10,000 people that I have to release another patch for TNZ because I forgot to put Cardassian and Pirate planets in my DefaultLoadOut.txt file. I'm pretty sure people are getting the two patches confused.

You know how it is, people are just exicted and want the long awaited patch yesterday.
Perhaps we should all not use the *P* word

I'll be ready very soon. I'll be putting a new "mod update" on the BC TNZ website today or tomorrow.

I dont really mind whether it is a full patch or another beta, its just the fact that things have gone quiet on the patching front and people get very curios as to the current situation. I am confused tho atm as Activision have taken SFC3 off there site and are no longer supplying the link to the Official Site, it doesnt really show support for SFC3 now does it.

You won't find a link to EFII but they just put out a patch
for that game, didn't they.

Thanks,

Dave

Welp, you're right. They no longer link to the official site. They also no longer host any patches...but, so what?! There are plenty of fans who are hosting the patch and will continue to do so for some time to come.

Is this official? Has there been a public announcement to this effect? If so, can you kindly direct me to a published report so that I can read it. Thanks.

Best,
Jerry
