Title: Here's an idea to make your personal universe more interesting

Just totally get rid of the "Orion Orion" shiplist and replace it with ships from all the other races that don't have territory in the game, like the Tholians, assorted races, whatever you like. You fight enough pirates when you go against the cartels, so the Orion Orion shiplist is more fun if it's totally something else.

Sorry, you can give me a big DUH if you've already done it.

That is a good idea. I had thought about replacing two of the cartels ships with Starwars rebel/empire ships....

Correct me here if I am mistaken. I find some thing a little confusing about the OP shiplist as it relates to the pirate designations. The cartels aren't the issue and are easily understood. But why is there the Orion-Orions (preceeded by X) and the Orions (preceeded by O). This stumped me before when I was trying to create the new paths to the new models I wanted to use. I discovered that I needed to modify the X-Orion-Orions instead of the O-Orions. What gives? Are the O-Orions a holdover fron EAW and no longer used by OP?

There hasn't been a public release of GaW yet. Right now it's in beta form, the team is testing it. It works so well though, we might be doing a public release soon. Don't worry, we'll make good and sure you all know.

Sorry for the confusion, I meant O-Orions, the faction that isn't a cartel and is just for something to shoot at in those "patrol" missions. I think they can be done away with completely.

For my game:
Orions=unchanged except for some added custom models
Korgath=custom models only
Prime= misc....ferengi,tamarians,pakled,kazon,civilian vessels etc.
Beast=8472,legion,B5,monsters
Wyldefire=jemhadr,breen,sona
Syndicate=Borg,Andros
Tigerheart=cardassians
Camboro=Tholians,B'lorian

Variety is what keeps the game interesting, I don't want to see the same 5-or-so  models for 8 cartels

I agree, and you can add the Neutral to that list. More Monsters, as well.

Sona ships? I havent seen those before... where can I get a look at those?

Heck yeah, I change my shiplist once a month it seems... try to see how else I can screw the game up..
