Title: SHEILD COLORS

hi all, this question is for anyone who knows how :

i was wondering if its possible to change the color of the shields..in OP the adv era ships the shields are white
how would go about changing the color of them to a color of my choosing?

Is that even possible? I thought shield Color was hard coded. I could be wrong though, I usually am.

Shield color denotes strength level. I'm not sure you want to go messing with that. Of course if you don't mind reduced shields you can just change their initial strength in the shipllist and change the color that way.

Actually i have a really old version of the "Admirals mode" still on my old website..

it changes the colors of the shields and makes Blue photons.

if you want that PM me and i'll give you the Addy!

CJ's Ultimate TOS mod for OP modifies the shields, as well as my SFB OP Mod, I forget which texture file it is however... I'll check the files when I get home.

By changing the colored Rings in, I think, the FX1.bmp you can alter the sheild coloring but it translates to all ships in the game. Its the .bmp file that has the "pause" writen on it ...if my memory holds.

thanks guys i know how to do it now the fx1 file is what i was looking for now i have my own custom sheild color and new mine rings

Some of you guys are confused, Shield color, and by that I mean the sphere color around the ship denoted shield strength, so you know when your shields are fully powered or weak, and that can be altered, now the bubble shield color when impacted and by that I mean the bubble surrounded the ship is hardcoded according to the races, that can not be altered
