For once I can use my speakers insted of plugging in my Headphones. This is all good and dandy till I realised that my right speaker wasnt playing. That went unknoticed untill I started playing a MP3 that has left and right channels (or whatever if im using the wrong terminology). Now, is there a setting on my pc or in WMP to set it to mono and to merge both the left and right sound's?
btw: its snowing its snowing! Oh, wait, now its melting its melting! argh!

I would just fix the right speaker. They are so simple, it's probably just a loose or broken wire. Also, speakers are pretty cheap.
I would go insane in just a few moments if everything in my PC went mono on me.

doesnt matter much anyway, since i have to use my headphones 99.9% of the time and they seem to be unaffected by the problem...
Oh yea, and my mom told me to stop bashing Gateway because "they make quality computers"
getting 2 modem's and one monitor replaced (while under waranty) in three years is "quality"?

They USED to make decent setups. But judging from a friends setup and VERY LIMITED upgrade capabilities and NO AGP SLOT, I say that's CHEAP. I would be embarrassed to sell something that cheap.

Never use "Gateway" and "Quality" in the same sentence. Heck, don't even put them in the same paragraph unless you toss in some other company name, like "IBM makes better quality computers than Gateway". That would be somewhat acceptable and might stave off Armageddon for a bit longer.
On your speaker problem, it more than likely is a loose wire in, or leading to, your right speaker. That's why your headphones are unaffected. It's easy to fix (just find the loose/frayed wire and fix it) and really cheap to just get new speakers.

MCG, if you ever get money and time, do like I did, buy a logitech stereo with almost 300 watts, your mom and neighbors will hate you, count on it, but God, the sound is so rich.
