Shop workers' anger at being forced to listen to hours of Christmas music during the festive period is spreading across Europe.

Dutch and German trade unions have now backed the demands by colleagues in Austria who said the combined effect of listening to endless hours of Jingle Bells made staff "aggressive and confrontational".

Wierd Al Yankovic's "The Night Santa Went Crazy" is a potent antidote for that sort of thing.

Actually I look foward to when they start the christmas music at work because the stuff the usually play is so annoying.  They play that paved over life put up a parking lot song on average at least twice a day it is the most freaking grating song ever written.  Then they add in in a pile more crappy wuss rock songs and a trivia question that is played ever hour that only changes once a week(the songs you only get maybe one new one a month).  It drives me insane so insane that christmas music is actually an improvement.
