Hey all. I was just wondering if it is even possible to get a Class three license anymore. I looked at the ATF site and they don't even use that system it seems.
-
If you could describe what a class three license entails, I might have an answer. Depends where you are too.
-
Ah, that might be helpful. I believe a person with a class three was able to own an automatic weapon. I'm not sure what else they were able to have. I was trying to look this up to see if this was true.
I live in Ohio, US.

I believe it's possible, yes. Sorry I dont have any Ohio information, I live in Mass.
-
I used to have a Class 3 liscence, But It was along time ago, and Before I blemished my record. I'll try and dig somethings up for you though, and Post It here.

Curio and relics might do just as well for you as a class 3. To get a class 3 requires a great deal of pain and aggravation. A C&R is much simpler to get and gives you personal access too many of the same items without the BS of being a dealer. Both are still available.

In common usage, an FFL is not a class 3. A Class 3 includes automatic weapons.
-
Particularly for things like 50 cals, browning 30m water jacketed MG, Tommy guns and other near relics.
-
I tried to go through some ancient Paperwork, And have yet to Find It.
The postman is correct though, I found this site about FFL.

They might be able to lead you on the right path jauldoux (sp).
