Title: Help!!!!!!
Post by: justme on December 09, 2003, 06:49:54 pm
I have finally got a new computer. I have the latest win xp. It has a good processor and vid/sound cards. It has the latest directx. It even comes with a program compatability wizard for programs ment for win95/98/me/2000. With all the tech's support and all the helpful hints I can't get humpty dumpty to   work right. The game sfc2 plays very well it just has strange geometric lines in the background. I would be greatful for any ideas.

This may seem to be  an obvious  question, but you don't have the grid enabled do you?
It had been so long since i had seen it ,it threw me when I saw it on my friend's game.

I think you may have it Qob'nuH.  It sounds like what he is describing.

Go to the preference button in the upper left display (it looks like a little PC)
and left click on it.

At the top left of that display (MFD) is a button that looks like a checkboard
in the upper left hand corner, click on it and see if the lines go away.

If this doesn't help, let us know your vid card and driver version please.

Thanks,

Dave

I have a s3graphicsprosavage ddr. Yes I guess that would seem like the the answer but I don't have the grid enabled. The closest thing these lines would represent would be unfinised pentagons.
