Merry Christmas all!
I decided that she needed to be upgraded to an Aegis Destroyer, as depicted near the end of her first tour of duty. I playtested it and she's very well balanced, I added some cool PhaserG's and ADD units as well as the usual Photons and Phaser1s. Makes a great escort for CVs!

Weathering and hull detail were inspired by Atrahasis' and Anduril's latest TOS work so thanks to these two fine modelers, and also for the Pegasus Project logo, done by Bernard Guignard.
Unfortunatly the LODS I made seem to crash the game, also my hotkeys in the re-installed game do not seem to work, so no in-game shots. Too bad as it really looks awesome. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

AAARRRGH!!! THE AGONY.....
My Lord, your d/l links aren't working.....

That would be the fault of Frostworks - very reliable server aren't they? LOL It'll probably be back up in a few hours or maybe a few minutes.
The ship looks fantastic Schtupp as usual can't wait to d/l

Nope not your computer... for some odd reason i always have to re-import the mod file back into max and then flip normals on the warp nacelle - i forgot to do that on the break model - sorry. I'll make a fix later.
At least its just the break model. Thank you for pointing that out
-
No worries... I love the "weathered" look that you got going on this... are we to asume that future models will appear the same...
And pleeeeeeeeeeeease can you point me to a font.....
-
That is too much! Hope you know how fond we are of your builds but that may be your best one yet. I hope that says something in its self. Thank you for this one and hope your Christmas was particularly good for you this year.
-
Thank You. Beautifull design. I have a spot all picked out for it.
-
Hello Lord Schtupp
Thank you for the nice Christmas present to the community it is greatly appreciated. Keep up the great work
-
Excellent and worth the wait as usual!! Is perhaps the Antares frigate also on the way after the holidays?
Thanks again.
-
Oh yea Ill definatly finish the antares, I need to start work again on my carrier first though.
Thanks to all for the cool comments, I had worked the textures on this one to death. Next one wont have so much experimentation in it
-
You make us jealous!
And
you are going to have to school me in rendering 101.
-
Hey thanks A - I should post a Max file with my light set up in it ... I used seven lights in these renderings, two primary omni lights set to .5 - .7 , blue-white, with raytraced shadows on and the others set to .1 or.2, colored light blu, yellow, red. I tried to emulate the lighting used in TOS...
-
Bump for Mariner...
-
Could you post the settings as well? I'll never be able to get a Max 5 file running in Max 3.1 here.. but if you can kind of post where you positioned the lights and their settings, I might be able to recreate it here.

 That is one NICE looking ship! Again i am humbled by you LS
Cant wait to see the rest of the WIP's
-
Once again you have made an excellent addition available to us for the SFC universe. It is a beautiful ship. Glad to see that your site is once again up and running.

Thanks Spup: good to see your post - many thanks to all!
-
Damn fine detail my Lord - I love high detail..
Your 2 ships will look great in my OP....
-
Have this converted now to SFC 1 if you'd like it.
-
Forgive my ignorance, but what does SWACS mean? And does anybody think that the Peggy could be used as a covert surveillance and SIGINT ship (not that you could do it the game mind you)?

Spaceborne Warning And Control Ship - I added the firepower of a DD escort so that It could be utilized in a variety of roles such as escort for high leverage vessels, long range patrol, Fighter/Drone control, Fleet Command/Flagship, Fleet ECM/ECCM Support, Covert SIGINT is also excellent use esp if it could cloak!
By the way I am color-correcting the textures on this and the new connie so expect revised textures soon....
-
Thanks. I asked because the Pegasus figures into a piece of fiction I'm writing.
-
Once you get those enhanced textures done, could you send me a set with the registry NCC-1612? I'm asking because I changed the registries of FJ's DD's so I didn't have to explain why they were so ooooold.

Oh, you might want to check out the one side of the connection beween the saucer and the aft deflector module. One side has a white strip running across it's side. Oh yeah, changing the SF Command logo to project the other way on the pod pylon would look less cheesy too.

Awsome work.
I've had an all tmp fetish for years now.
You just ended that.
