Here in C.C. (no, not Corpus Christi, TX, hehehehe, but Chihuahua city), natural gas is about $1.50 per liter, I guess 4 liters is a gallon? More or less? What is the measurements used by natural gas companies in the U.S. for home use? What are the current prices?
Thanks,
JM

Natural gas in the US is measured by the cubic foot. Couldn't tell you current prices.

Actually, I used to work for the gas company. Oddly, the house I live in currently is all electric - which is why I don't know the current gas prices.
-
Current price in central/southern NJ is (direct from my bill) 0.3359 for 3rd party delivery and 0.659 for the gas. Multipy those by Therms used (Therms being the BTU content (1.056) multiplied by the 100's of cubic feet used)
Electric seems to be at 0.043143 per KWH from the local company JCP&L and 0.05878571 from FirstEnergy (the deregulation mandated cram it down our unsuspecting throats alternative supplier).
-
I drive a dedicatd natural gas vehicle.. They price it per the equivelent gallon, which runs anywhere from $1.30 to $1.55 here in Phoenix. An equivelent gallon is pretty close to 5.6lbs of CNG.
