Post by: Sirgod on February 11, 2004, 05:08:37 pm
Hehe, First time's a charm also.

Running a PCI 64 meg Gforce4 MX 400 thingy on Monitor one, and running a Gforce 2 mx 400 on Monitor 2. I know alot of you have probably done this kind of thing before, But It's my first time to do It.

I also want to thank whomever It was that mentioned UltraMon to me before. That Program rocks.

It performed pretty well actually with only 512Mb of Sdr ram. No DdR yet, but working on It. No Slowing in the movie, and No problems with Connection on GAW earlier. This on a 56k using Windows Pro, and an AMD 2600+ CPU.

Both monitors are set to The same res though, so I think that helps. I'm Def. Gonna Register UltraMon, as It's one of the easiest apps, I ever stumbled into based on someone else's recomendation.

the only Problem I've had so far is with Command and Conquer : Generals. For some reason When I want to scroll left, towards my secondary monitor, It won't let me , unless I place the mouse curser just right. But I'm sure It's just a tweak I need to work with.

Playing BF1942 on 2 monitors is Like Wow. What a picture.

OMG. My second monitor just Blew up. Well caught on fire actually. I had a very old Emachines Monitor as my second one, and I started smelling smoke. Anyway I stood up trying to locate It, then I got a light show within It's case starting. I immediatly started unplugging everything, and managed to save My PC.

That was the Darndest thing I ever saw, as I just got done watching Dizzy's Outhouse video on It. LOLOLOL.

Oh well, time to plug in another monitor and see what happens. Fortunatly, My step-son Nathan has two or three tha I gave him awhile back.

Actually I finally had an electrician replace the circuit Breaker box, and I've been having a few Breakers tripping still. But this time was my fault. I went to grab the mouse, and Spilt water on My PC desk. I guess I splashed some up there in the monitor case, and PHHHHTTTTT.

Just do what I do. I place one of my old kitchen chair's just to the left and slightly behind my Command Chair
It's not as high as a coffee tray, so if you happen reach out a little to fast.you wont knock anything over.

Hehe, It's diffenatly time to expand the Desk It self I think, and add a small table or the like. It can't be to low or my dogs will Grab my glass, and carry It off to drink.

Seriously though If one of them can get to a glass, they will drink right out of It without thinking twice.

I kid you not. It really is that bad with him. Me and him could build the exact same
computers and his would be dead in a week. I drive him crazy cause no matter
what I do to my computer or what software I run my computer runs great. Heck,
I'm one of those wierdos that actually liked ME cause I never had a problem with it.

One afternoon, I was dusting out the inside of my computer with some compressed air
and I noticed that the power cable for the fan on the CPU heatsink wasn't connected.
Bob only knows how long it had been like this. Earlier that day I had been using the
computer for several hours and there was no problem.

Even my kids computer runs better than my friends and my kids are using parts from
a computer that I had back in 1997.

Just do what I do. I place one of my old kitchen chair's just to the left and slightly behind my Command Chair
It's not as high as a coffee tray, so if you happen reach out a little to fast.you wont knock anything over.

I just have Spock hold my drink...

I have 2 drinks sitting on my desk right now, but there's so much other crap there that if I move wrong something else will tip before I touch the drinks

Hehe, It's diffenatly time to expand the Desk It self I think, and add a small table or the like. It can't be to low or my dogs will Grab my glass, and carry It off to drink.

Seriously though If one of them can get to a glass, they will drink right out of It without thinking twice.

Man oh man. You remind me of my best friend. He has the worst luck
with computer stuff. He can get a BSOD just by looking at his computer.

Mawahahahahaha

Now to find a mobo with 2 AGP slots...

I do the same thing.  I have an old wooden kitchen chair that is flat and has no back.  I place all the stuff I need to sustain myself through a heated battle on that chair.  I have no dogs to worry about but I have to watch out for my son.  He likes to do Jedi moves on me.
