With all these models being created, and Taldren even having the model contest. Will any of these models be patched in later to become "stock" ships in a future patch???

that would be great, but i kind of doubt it ... leagle reasons of credit and payment for use of ideas would need to be addressed ..... and while a patch is a free upgrade to the game, and im sure all modelers would be willing to relinquish any payment ... i still think its a sticky thing no company would want to be exposed to
but we can always hope

They never patched in the hundreds of models made for the previous games so I doubt it. I do think it would be cool to patch in the contest winners though.
As far as the rest go, Im sure it wont be too long before Chris Jones gets one of his mega mods done. So rest assured the ships will get in the game.
You can always do it yourself, I added so many ships to sfcop that I ran into the fact that you can only have so many ships per class and couldnt add any more.

Chris Jones already has a Beta MOD For Starfleet Command III. It is a Dominion Wars MOD. Its pretty cool.

I would like to see some of the new models patched in and not modded in so I don't have to worry about getting into games that are modded a certain way. Everyone that is up to the latest patch will have the new ships. That is what I am getting at.

Hell yeah! I wanna see this. BTW there is a flight sim call IL-2 Sturmovik for whom this was done. It's great becuase all kinds of WWII aircraft from the eastern front were introduced in patches not only by the developer Maddox(A Russian developer if you've never heard of them) but also by other players and moddelers. Oleg Maddox, the big guy in charge, is very supportive of the mod community. Unfortunatly the only way to install these plane is via patches by Maddox. But its pretty cool. Now if Activision authorized Taldren to do this it would be supreme.

I nominate our good buddy Atolm & his armada of ships that would give any Borg a perpetual woodie! Esspecially the "McCoy-Class" Medical Vessel. The Next Generation meets "CSI" or "ER" or "Third Watch". Any fan fic writers want to run with that? *lol*
