Somedays that's not a lot.. but these are both pretty and shiny..

Just announced this in another thread, but in case that thread was too long for some, here it is again..

And I'm fulfilling a promise with the second ship release.  Remember back about a month or so that there was a ship that I was keeping exclusive to Generations At War for a month?  Was anyone taking notes?  No?  (sigh).. okay, a hint...



Okay guys.. I'm releasing it for SFC 2 now that I have the installer in place and I feel that all the notices about it not being ported without asking are really obvious.  Again, more than anything else, I just simply like to be *asked*, and that's why I'm jumping through all the hoops here.

The SFC 1 and SFC 3 versions are already out there, but it's usually the SFC 2 versions that were being ported, hence all this with the installer.

The Akula file works, but there is an error when you try to install the Larson.

Okay, just downloaded it and tested the install on my texturing machine (Windows 95 based), and it runs fine here as well.. so that's an XP Pro machine and a Windows 95 machine that it's been tested on with no errors now..

What's the error you're getting?

Ok here is what I am getting, a 21 FC error related to the Fca4i.bmp file, says it contains invalid data, then the application quits after I press next.

I didn't install yet, but I know I d/l'd the Akula and the setup screen says I'm installing the Larson!

Well, I wasn't ready to install yet anyway.  After a HD crash LAST YEAR, I haven't full restored my multi-eras of EAW nor OP yet... only SFC1 TOS and TMP so far.  I love the Chris Jones' SFCNG but the ship organization in its sfbspc13.txt file is a little too haphazard so I have to work up the guts to tackle that one.  Maybe I'll even get to the SFC2 TOS and TMP (even TNG) in the coming weeks even before I have the nerve to try to restore SFCNG for SFC1.

Oh, I forgot... nice Akula!

The Akula compilation I did just after the Larson, and I may have missed a string or two on it when I put that all together.. sorry about that.

Hey, no sweat.  I was just given a second's worth of pause when I tested the file (sometimes, d/ls get corrupted... what news!).

I am waiting for a block of time all to my lonesome, when I can FINISH RESTORING my SFCs!!!  Then, I'll swap out some older models for some of these cool updated versions... not that most of the older ones were bad at all!
