I had to start over. But Check out the Curves man, the Curves, on the new saucer. I am exstreamly pleased with how these turned out. So I guess haveing it get corrupted was a good thing.

overall top

Lower hull area

right side showing all the lights as well

and over all bottom of the saucer

Just a point of accuracy but the nav lights are only hemispheres while yours seem to be larger - they start to curve back (they were fine on the last one BTW) and the smaller lights are actually rectangular plates and not spheres at all.
The shape of the saucer is much improved however - I imagine this is a real whopper of a poly count yeas?

cool, I tried something like that on a tutorial which 1/2 worked so I gave up and started work on my own ship which the knowledge I picked up in the tutorial...
ur saucer looks great, top marks
however I would say this, I imagin the poly count for the saucer is about 2-3k which isnt bad for that type of detail but it looks like you've used full spheres making the nav lights try to cut them un half so you have the top or bottom part of the sphere and then use that as the nav light, full spheres will bring your poly count sky high, its best to try and cut corners if its going to be in a game like SFC
good start so far

The pics are not showing for me for some reason, but I encourage you to keep at it.....depicting something you adore in art is worth it for the experience itself.

Definitely looking sharp.. and you have to know that for guys, it's usually all about the curves.

Definitely a nice start.
