Title: A problem with SFC III Fed single player campaign mission "Luddite Syndrome"
Post by: SSCF_LeRoy on March 07, 2004, 11:58:37 am
Admiral Arai's planet disappears after all orbital stations and defense platforms have been destroyed. No planet means I can't beam down my away team and capture her. I knew that the Romulans were sneaky, but I didn't know that they could make a whole planet disappear

That happened to me, too. The way that I got it to work was to go after the targets in a different order. I forget what the magical solution was, but I would suggest that if you're attacking the defending ships first you should switch to hitting the stations first, or vice versa.

Good Luck!

I start out by hitting the orbital installations first, however I have been notified that it's a patch issue. I may have to remove the BETA patch in order to complete the mission.

Try reinstalling the beta patch, there is an issue if the beta and the DX9 patch are both installed. The reinstall should fix that problem.

I don't have the DirectX patch installed. I'll reinstall the game and leave off the Beta patch and see how that works.
