Captain Ron sir, I think your work deserves it's own posting !
Hi all,in another thread I posted pics of Phil Giunta's physical model:
U.S.S. Aysgarth
And in less then 2 days, thanks to the incredible skills of Captain Ron the U.S.S. Aysgarth went from plastic to PLASMA DRIVE and even got herself a sister ship as well.So without further delay here they are:
And you can find her here:
U.S.S. Aysgarth
Thanks to Phil Giunta for saying yes and Captain Ron for making it happen.

Hey, would it be possible to do that model and switch the saucer sections? I prefer a standard rounded saucer than the reliant model used.
Reason being, all the components of the reliant are there in that model. Just in a different place. It would make sense to take, say a Destroyer sized saucer and add below that the torp bay and warp engines that connect thru the neck pylon you see in these pics.
If that saucer were rounded, I'd give this model a 10. As it stands now, its just a rearanged reliant...
Still cool, I just wouldnt use it is all. Nice work, tho.
my 2 cents.

I had already thought about that and have one in the works but one project at a time and this one is ahead in the que.
She is finished but I forgot to put the medical Symbols on it and I am current to tired to drawn those on right now, so after I wake up tomorrow I will finish here up and upload so you all can download. The other textures are as usual in the ALT directory.
So sometime tomorrow it will be up and ready!
-GAFY?

You guys are really on to something here.

the Defualt model has the the medical symbols on it. There are other Textures availalbe in the ALTs' Directory the warp engines ones have to be renamed inorder to use them.
you can download the ship here!

Excellent!! Thank you Captain Ron! This is very much appreciated.

Noow that is an original and truly functional design for a new light cruiser carrier or tender.

I give you the USS Stringray...
The lastest in cheap easy to produce cruisers. They have tha armament and shields to take on larger ships for a much more economical price than a Dreadnaught.
What exactly is supposed to make this a low cost alternative to a DN? I mean, this thing doesn't even appear to have the armament of the miranda, it wont be holding up to anything much past a lone D7 full of cadets. Might I suggest the long box torpedo system from a seelowe (I assume this to give more space to have torps ready per tube) and an FDN saucer with the tripple phaserbanks. Now I am not saying this is a bad design, just that it doesn't seem to fit the suggested role. Would make a great heavy destroyer....
-
Starforce... R u nuts?
That ship has a good feel to me. I size it up as being a factory quick job the Feds put together to make a HDW cheap and easy. Looks good 'nuff for the Andromedan era...
All the class have pretty much been done. This is a great filler ship for in between classes and new HDW variants.
I luv it.

Well at least we found a way to get you out of the house.
It is really strange that the smaller ships usually get less downloads than the bigger ones. Guess everyone wants that BB, BC, or CA to go flying around in. Personally I like the DD, and FF range at least for the Feds, they seem to have the more powerful ships in that range.
-
Speaking of DD's Captain Ron sir,how about taking your FXcalGal hull and mating it to the Newkirk weapon pod and a single TNG narcell underneath for the Newkirk A perhaps ?

yea, the seelowe for example is much slower than a more rediculous ship like the lansamlet or ticonderoga and gets a worse rating. Iw as rather surprised about that. I always figured people would flame the uber-ships.

Nope I am finishing the last two Federation Ships on my list then going back to finish the Romulan ones I started many moons ago. Well it is actually one of the ones the Excalibur, it will be in a XCA and XDn releases. The other ship I was trying a Excelsior look to it and just dumped it as I was not happy with it, so it will not be completed anytime soon.
Going to start a WIP thread for the Excalibur Retexture, seems the only way to find out if ppl are interested or not
-
Well there's always sometime down the road. I can't wait to see what you do next!
-
hell yea...those "X" ships are nasty...they need help. stock taldren style textures must go.
-
How about using the Newkirk A suggestion I had for the XDD ?

Agreed. Although I personally kinda like the nacells on the XCA .. and the primarly hull design wasn't too bad... the textures really did need help. WAAAAYY to "boxy" and sorly lacking in detail. While you're at it... redo the deflector dish altogeather !! ECCH !! (Please)

Well buzzard, maybe you'll be able to give that bass master of yours a face lift eh? You should put a pair of bass logos on each of the nacelle pylons heh
