Title: Campaign map running slow

I'm having a big problem with my campaign map,its slow as Moses(not time,by means of lagging),can I change some numbers or something to make it not lag as much? I dont get it,the actual battles r faster than the map,there has to be something wrong.Can somebody help,I cant even go around and play missions  without it lagging so much,thanx
