Title: DOE...how about some wagers...
Post by: SOSHannible1 on February 27, 2003, 09:47:02 am
Ive noticed after reading the posts there is alot of Pride in the races, nice thing to see. I know that there are some fleets still left in D2 KBF, SSCF, FPF, KAT, KOTH, (any Hydran or Lyrans?) SPQR, GDN. and I now Im missing a few, any way I was thinking of making some wagers, set some goals or Vcs for DOE and the loser has to do somthing. Come up with somthing to pay the bet off nothing big, maybe a chance to emberasses yerselfs. I know that Cleo and her soriety gals have sent us SOS fleet mates some pretty cool pixs, just somthing to chew on.

The yahoos in the fleets that you mentioned don't need a wager to embarass themselves - they do a good enough job day to day in any given campaign :P

HEY!!! I resemble that remark. Just because I can't pilot good enough to beat the AI is no reason to say I am embarrasing myself. What? You say pressing the 'R' key will give me shields and weapons. Hmmm, novel idea, it just might work.

Listen up, NotBruce.  It's "A", damnit! "A"!  That's GDA

Actually, I like the GDA's chances in a comptetition like this. (With me spending a lot of time on admin duties, their win ratio should go way up on DOE!)   What did you have in mind?  How would we keep score?  Prepare to be sat upon by a tequila/scotch snorting Gorn wearing a bright pink tutu, quoting Python, and getting fatter on chocodilles.

Care to spot us a few points?

BAH!

I was on the 735 server last night.   Only one member of the Gorn Die Alot fleet was there.

As for the D2 and EAW.

Can you say CRASH TO DESKTOP??

Other than multiple crashes I had 4 PvP matches against some SFC2.Net regulars.

Nero 4.    Regulars 0.   In fairness not all of the battles were balanced.

Great fun.

BTW the cloak works just fine.  I have no idea what you guys were complaining about.

This game is different than SFC3.    I like it.  Except for the crashes.

That's Gorn Directory Assistance.  We handle all of your Slow Online Signals.
If you aren't up to date on all your bribes, then yes, we send you straight to desktop.  If you are up to date
on your bribes, then we just accept your draft and send you home in a bodybag.

Just keep thinking that way Hero.
You know I'd have handed you your head on a platter had you not had Silvia with you.

That is very true.   My understanding of drones is poor.   With the grace of the Senate and People of Romulus,  I hope to improve.

To avoid future troubles.  This is a wargame.  I treat it as such.  I'm just having fun.

Hmm... any time I could catch any of you SOSers on Gamespy?  Ive had some Dyna issues, of late, and for pure, lets-but-heads PvP, Gamespy is alot more efficient.

Next real FULL campaign I'm going Hydran (noticed I kick ass at it ), but for DoE I'm gonna have to go with Fed.  My tactics and abiliries are such that I'll fit right it

If you need help, you can contact anyone from the SPQR fleet that you see on a server. If they claim that they are from that fleet, you know they are lying since it does not exist!

Ignore the above post. It is a phony. SPQR exists in the hearts and minds of D2 players everywhere. Oh the humanity! Where is the love?

Look here laddie, we don't make bets in D2. We collect bounties and if you have a bounty on you, you cannot run from a fight. Your fleet sets a price on the hull of somebody's ship and and the side that does it gets either PP or VC's. Now what this does is makes your fleet's best flyer or leader a target. So if they go to front lines they risk getting killed off and giving the other guys an advantage. I get bounties placed on me often. Only 2 have paid off in almost 3 years. Come get some!

Sorry Hoochypoos but D2 isn't 2 years old yet, let alone 3. Also, on AOTK, I distictly remember issuing a challenge to you. Still waiting.

Really? Sorry about that. Last one to get me Scip and Iaidoka. (oops)

And I meant since SFC1 not just EaW.

I thought I'd seen them all, but I think I can honestly say that Hooch has found an entirely new way to mispell my name.  I'm impressed.
