Title: Not fixed in beta patch
Post by: shadow-viper on February 28, 2003, 12:43:33 am
Why was the ATI RADON resolution bug not fixed in the beta patch? I just got a new cumputer with a radon 9000 and
downloaded all the new drivers and the dx9 fix and the patch and I still cant play the game I even put my resolution
at 640x480 with my color at 16bit and the game will not play any missions. Please Taldren /Activision tell me you are working
on this prob.I would like to play the game at its defalt resolusion. Please help!!

ATI resolution is an ATI driver problem... others using Radeon cards of different designs are not experiencing this problem nor are the NVidia card users.. check with ATI customer support about having this problem corrected...

Fellow Vyper,

What does this exactly mean? "...and the game will not play any missions" Gives us more details of the behavior.
Does it hang (if so where does it hang, Mission loading screen, after mission loads)?
Does it crash with an error message?
Does the sound continue to play (you can go to red alert) but the screen is so message up you cannot see anything correctly?
Single player missions? or Multiplayer Missions?

Can you take a screen shot?

These kinds of answers will help two things, let us know if it is exactly the same bug symptoms as before or a new problem.

Its more than likely a personal configuration problem. SFC3 runs fine on my laptop, and it only has a Radeon 7200 w 16mb.

Have you tried checking the box at "no visual themes" (might be different, I translated it) in the compatability settings?
