i am now getting an occasion error when i run modelviewer.
any ideas on help
DDHELP caused an invalid page fault in

lol, I bet if you called tech support that's what they told you...
I read a recent tech support review. They right clicked on the network card and hit disable, then called the Tech Support guy to fix it.
His final solution? "Format the hard drive, reinstall Windows."
They boosted the security too high in Internet Explorer and couldn't view a web page, then called the Tech Support guy... "Reload Windows"

It happens from time to time, if you get it when you shut it down dont worry about it. If it happens when you try to load models then all you can do is uninstall reinstall the program.

but its never happened before.

Try deleting it and redownloading it (to a different directory).
That actually happened to me with a program, it just quit working the other day (the day after I had started using it), so I redownloaded it and unzipped to a new location, bam, it worked.
