And im talking about the one that comes standard with the PC computers. I have yet to find all the mines myself.
-
Yup it is doable. It is a process of elimination. And sometimes a little luck.

Or knowing the right cheat code to put in so that it tells you safe squares to check.

Under 2 minutes on Expert level.

And no cheats! Cheats for Minesweeper, sheesh.
-
Yup.
Theres a cheat to stop the clock too
Try going custom and do 100 x 100, with 10 mines, watch how fun it is
-
Yeah, I have beaten it numerous times. it just takes practice, and a logical mind to reason out where the bombs are.

How the heck can you do that? My best time is just under 3 minutes on expert, 42 seconds on the middle one and 12 seconds on the easy one.

Now what's the point? How do you expect to exercise your mind?

You get lucky and click on a big open field somewhere in the middle.

That's sort of my response to that as well. However I got you beat on easy. I think I've gotten it down to 5 seconds or less, on this computer alone I just did it at 9 seconds!

Yep a lot of it is luck when you first start a map. Oh and BTW my best time was 71 seconds on Expert level.

-
As far as I can tell you can't click a mine the first time.

Do you mean mark a square as a mine? If so have you tried to right click the square?
If you mean left clicking on the map for the first time, yeah I think the mines are placed in the squares just after the first click. That is also what starts the clock.
