Are they a online only type thing?, or is there a trick to makeing them avalable in single player mode.

MW drone are on advanced era ships, you should have them in SP as well once you get to that stardate.

Hmm? that dont sound right... they should be avalable in the mid era around Year 176-178 by SFB reconing if I remember right, and not just the advanced era.
Anyway of makeing them show up in the correct era?.

Change the drone rack you want to carry to a C version and that rack will spit out MW drones.
Use ship edit or excel to modify the shiplist or ftrlist files.

Get "ship edit" and give whatever ship you want "droneM "racks. Of course excel or notepad will too,its just faster and more efficient with "Ship Edit" (why the hell would anyone want to play without it?)

..t he multiwarhead drones in SFC are way overpowering..
.. the MIRV ammo splits early, but have longlong range, and not the simple 12 hexes of life..
Also.. MW drones are drones with different payloads, same launchers as usual, ..
.. the SFB limits for drone proportions also aren't in SFC.
70% normal drones, 20% of "limited" drones (not including MWs) and 10% of "restricted" drones, including MWs.
.. Drone cruisers have a higher percentage.. so there's a measure of control to its availability.
.. so really.. putting a RackM on a Mid-era ship? .. yeeeouch.

If they are so over balancing can't the ones who have control over the patching change them to the proper values, and ranges.
Or do they not have access to that info.

as far as SFC goes, the MW drones have their own launchers, and are destined to be X weapons.
Trust me, they work well as X2 weapons..
