 Just wondering if anyone knew anything about Discreet's gmax modelling software?

It's free and there is no .mod plugin and there will never be one

If your interested in modeling SFC milkshape is the cheapest thing at $20.00 US

 Im mainly interested in modelling for some projects Im doing for a friend. It would be nice though to make some mods for SFC.  

BTW- Whats the learning curve for Milkshape?

Guess it really comes down to what you already know.

There are no auto functions to help out and 15,000 polies is its upper limit and may not operate above 10,000 polies.

I use it for kitbashing, and appling textures only so building from scratch is still beyond me. Kitbashing is easy enough to do though.
