Title: SFB Question... Frax AFD's
Post by: J. Carney on May 23, 2004, 01:25:17 am
Have seen these on some fan-created SSD's posted on places like Shipyards of Vega.

What exactly are these, I know that they are exclusively defensive in nature (you can gather that by looking at the SSD's).

AFD's are anti-fighter defense.

Basically it's an ADD and PH-G rolled into one and the mode it fires in can be switched each impulse.

Thanks, on the Cheese Scale, those things sound like they would be straight Limberger to go up agianst.

The AFD was an SFB allegory to the CADS-N-1 point defense system on the Kalinin, which combined a short range SAM with a 30mm gun.

Shouldn't that be a type VI missile launcher + an ADD?  Sorta like a SFC G-rack...
