Demtek? Looks like a freighter. What is it mb?
-
I'm not sure I understand the logic in giving borg vessels "Class" designations.
-

I believe that would be more for Federation (or anyone else) to "designate" the Borg ships to classes.I mean you can't have a data base on something without a name right ? I don't think he means the Borg call it the (whatever class). It's all about recognition for the rest of the galaxy.
How about Macrotek Class ?
-
I agree with the Freighter idea....

Then wouldnt it just be simplier to say..."type X cube" instead of dignifying the Borg with creative names...
-
Hehe! How about painting it caterpillar yellow and calling it a Vogon Constructor ship? jusk kidding. It looks good.
EDIT: Caterpillar yellow with wide diagonal black stripes.
-
BUMP! Hey, it was just a joke! Anyone remember the ship I referred to?

I agree completely but then there would be no Hollywood drama and such. It's a sales thing like Pepsi vs. Brand X.

Don't worry, Storm, there's someone else in here who owns all five books in the Hitchchiker Trilogey (well, more, but that's oll that's in the Ultimate Hitchhikers Guide I have)..
Now he needs to make us the Heart of Gold.

"The Vogon ship hung in the air in exactly the way that a brick doesn't."
-
Believe it or not; I've requested that very ship before. Years ago. before the exodus of most of the old school modelers during the "pay for models" and other "debates".

Shhhh... bad things. Don't talk about bad things.
It's a shame that Adams never sketched any of these things out. It would have made a terriffic comic anyway, I don't know why he didn't let the world see what was in his strange brain.
Here's to someone making the Heart of Gold, the Vogon Constructor AND the Blagulon police ship- "a bulbous, shark-like affair, slate green in color and smothered with black stenceled letters of varying degrees of size and unfriendliness."
PLEASE?!?!
-
Then you have not watched the BBC video adaption of his book. it's rather bad but I loved it as a kid. Anyhoo there were good shots of the ships they used. Vogon, heart of gold the hurgrunt(?) battle cruisers and so forth.
-
I knew about the radio show... but not a video adaptation. I'll have to look for it.
Thanks
... maybe if I find it I can get some screenshots for one of our fine modelers to work with.
-
don't get me wrong, -parts of it are hilarious. but a lot of it was just silly or dull.marvin was a hoot! The facist police shooting them up while apologizing profusely and claiming not to like it at all, the restaraunt scene, quite a bit of good and a lot of awful thrown in as well.
