Title: Kinda OT, but can someone help me with a problem on...
Post by: FutureTem on March 03, 2003, 01:46:56 am
... Star Trek: Away Team? I recently bought it for a few bucks, but I cant install it. Always when I try, the installshield wizard at the very beginning loads toll 99%, then stops. After some time it disappears, but does not continue to start the install programm itself. However, I noticed that 2 files remain active in the background until I remove the CD.

I've tried this numerous times, but it just doesnt work. I also downloaded the demo version, but it shows the same error. I think it may be connected to my system (I'm using Windows XP Home), but I'm not sure. Is anybody familiar with this problem, and if yes, what can I do about it?

Do you have an Anti-Virus Program running.  If it is Norton diable the real-time protection then run the installer.

If not... Not sure what is the problem... except you might have a virus !

If you purchased the game, you should contact Activision Customer Support.

I did a quick search on our searchable Customer Support site and found this:

Game will not install

Perhaps it may help.  If not, you can search the site yourself.
