Adam,

Open here:

C:\Program Files\Activision\Sfc3\Assets\Textures

Unity just finished a textures package. Was fun work.

Lots of files. For example.

Pulse phaser = pulse_phaser

Open it ,look at it. OPen it in just paint. Make it whatever you want, whatever color. save a copy, test it. Play with color more, blotching -- whatever.

Look at the photon: heavy-photon

This was fun to make for me. It looks cheesy here, but the affects in game are a trip.

Heehhee. A baby modder. Kewl. I love teaching people stuff.

Just explore it. Mess with it in paint shop pro or whatever. Change your own textures. You learn by doing.

C:\Program Files\Activision\Sfc3\Assets\Textures

Go make something a different color. Save your original files.

Look under the names and open them up. Most are .bmp files.

Just mess around in there and do whatever you want.

The game wasnt ready for release, All the sudden it was "needed" and released early. So it was not given the glory it should of had. With the demand of the allmighty dollar ay hand. The first game in the series where you onlly had 4 playable races. Well when the source code is released that will be fixed.

I don't get the poleron . Mine acts like its hard coded. I changed the file you showed from stock red to yellow and its still the samr reddish pink in game.
