Title: LB5- GameSpy issues

Have run into a problem - Ive installed OP, patched up to 2552 (using the 2500-->2552 patch), installed the LB5 shiplist, and made that .gf file change DarkElf stated.

I dont get problems until I try to log in to D2. When I use the log in details I normally use for SFC3, it says 'unable to find specified account', but when I try and make a new account, it says:

"Could not resolve connection manager host name"


Has anyone got any ideas? I'd like to try playing D2, but GameSpy seems determined to not let me   ???

Fluff told us it was your NTL connection.

If that is the case you are screwed, and NTL service is less helpful than a really unhelpful thing. :cuss: :cuss: :cuss:

Yeah, ntl to gamespy today has been a bit flakey. I could not get onto NWN Gamespy tonight at all. That being said, I could get onto D2 lol.

Have you made sure you've changed the gf file with the changed IP address? last 3 digits should be 125.

Aye, checked the IP in the relevant file- cant seem to get onto D3 either.

Same deal with F9thSweeting- he gets exactly the same messages as I do- it seems our ISP (NTL) does indeed suck  ::)

Oh well- time to go hunting for a better ISP I guess, unless NTL get's it's knickers untwisted  ;D
