Title: Where's a good place to download the BF1942 1.6 patch?

It needs to be someplace where I can use download eccelerater.  The BattleField1942.com downloads page won't let me do that :banghead:

I usually go to 3D Gamers (http://www.3dgamers.com/) when I need to download a game patch.  Wow 268MB for the full 1.6 patch and the Battlefield web site won't let you use an accelerator??!?  That is a lot of wasted bandwidth on broken links.  I hope you don't have to download that on a dial-up connection.   ;D

well i have bf1942 but its not install on the hd (no place) but i can download the patch place it on a cd and send it by mail (don't worry i wont come to visite you  ;D)

Leroy there is another option than leaving your phone line tied up for 30 hours straight.  Go down to a local computer shop that is not one of the big chain stores.  Digilink would be a good choice if you have one near you.  Anyway, call or go down and ask if one of these places will download the file on their broadband for you.  The places that do this will usually charge $5~6 dollars for the download and the CD.  This will save you a lot of time and aggravation for you and your family members.  Hope this helps.

Hey, I may just do that! There ain't no Digilinks 'round here, but there's a local shop that I've bought stuff from in the past. I'll give 'em a ringy-dingy and see what they can do. Thanks fer the suggestion! ;D

Apparently my local computer shop wants me to pay $20.00 fer them to download a patch that's otherwise free (http://www.sscf.net/sscf/modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif) I'll just do it the hard way :banghead:

A friend of mine has loaned me his copy for the summer, as he has moved on to BF:Vietnam.  Do you guys have a server which you regularly frequent?
