Thanks to Spike TV I came up with a decent trek trivia question:
Voyager's Tom Paris was played by actor Robert Duncan. What other role did Mr. Duncan play in another Star Trek Series?
-
He played a cadet (ah, can't remember his name) who was a fourth year cadet. He and Wesley Crusher were on a StarFleet Academy Flight team (or something similar to that) when Crusher was a first year. This occurred in Season Five of The Next Generation Series.
He was the one for the cover up. Amazingly the character and story go very well with the Tom Paris character from the First Voyager Episode (the premiere of Voyager is one of my favorites of all the Star Trek shows). Unfortunately Tom Paris changed his personality after the premier to a much more obedient, docile, and boring personality for the rest of Voyager. They could have even perhaps kept the Same Character name from TNG with the characterization that they gave Tom Paris, but instead decided to keep the basic character profile and make a new character for Voyager, the character called Tom Paris of course.
The episode was First Duty, episode 219, the character played, Nick Locarno I believe.
-
Are you sure it was episode 219? I thought for sure it was in a later season than season two.
-
Hmm, depends on how you count the episodes. You are correct, First Duty is a season five episode, as I stated I thought before.
It would be #119 I believe of the series. I think it is categorized as #219 indexed however according to Star Trek.

Captain I'm detecting abnormally high geek readings from this post.

    I love the darn show myself but i havent memorized the episode numbers, :smackhead: ;)
Thats a tad bit hard core isint it?

Hehe...I was just thinking that he looked so much cuter than he did in Voyager as well...then again Wesley was almost cute in that episode as well...
-
Yes, I admit, I've become hardcore into trek...it's all due to my first introduction to that darn game...what was it called again...oh yeah, SFC which led to SFB and all...
As for Tom Paris being cute, you just like those pretty boys don't you Judge! I would imagine a real man going after someone like Riker or Chakotay!
8)
No, I'm not gay...just in case you are all wondering.
Here's a bit of trivia...
Name at least 3 Captains of the Enterprise D appointed (Temporarily or Permanently) by Star Fleet during the TNG run...episode would be preferred in reference to their appointing...

I've heard they wanted to use that character, but they would have had to pay royalties to the original script writers, or something like that, so they just wrote a very similar character.

I've know Riker and Jellico, but unless the third is Picard, I can't think of who it might be.
-
IT was that one guy when Picard went on that secret mission in cardassian space. I can't remember his name tho. >:(
-
I'm pretty sure that's Jellico (unless I got the name wrong, than I'd have to figure out who Jellico is ;) ).
-
Picard is a valid answer, so Riker (though only a Temporary Field rank) and Jellico makes 3. There were others however.
For instance, Captain Holloway (sp?) was Captain of the Enterprise also when Picard was not desiring to be Captain (at least in a way of not wanting). Besides me of course, anyone know what Episode Captain Holloway was over the Enterprise?

Wasn't that the one where Q let him see what his life would have been if he didn't take any chances?
