Things that might not be immediately noticeable
1) You can raise your DVs above starting value
2) Pay attention to asteroid hexes. Note that those are where your econ points are. (They are supposed to represent rich systems that have not been developed into fortified planets.)
3) PF's with an "m" in their name can make pretty fireworks. 16 bombs and four transporters fill in the role of mine racks.
4) Don't go nose to nose with a R-CEN. His alpha WILL kill you.
5) Most leader PFs can carry two PFs. Lyran leader PFs can carry three, which can be standard or Fi-Con with ZY drone fighters. (As in SFB).
6) Scout PFs have a probe; no other PF does. They also have built-in ECM, but I'm not convinced it does anything.
