Yes, it's sort of crude but it is perfectly functional.
The Feds, Klingons, Roms, ect are in the Blue area. The Omega sector races are in the red area. Any questions? Ask away :D

I didn't make it. I just reposted it so people can see it.

Captain's Log dropped a lot of hints about the Xorkaelians when they first published this map, but I haven't heard much of anything since. And idea when they are supposed to unleash this new "ultimate bad guy"?

Ahh, the Xorks.
From what I've seen on the SFB BBS, they are going to be the big bad-ass enemies for 2X. Sorta what the Andromedans were for 0x-1x ships.
Given the balance issues(and the fact that 2x ships in the last edition were MONSTERS), ADB is going to take their time with this.
It has been suggested that 2x (or X2, depending on your notation) will be the last product published by ADB, a sort of farewell.
Just one rumor out of many...

X2 is not their farewell thing. Last I knew they had quite a few other things planned.
The Xorks are, to quote SVC "Mean"
They are a brutal slave taking dictatorship that are to be the main enemies of ships in the X2 era. Every single one of their ships is modular.
There is a central core ship to which 2,3, ect 'pods', each about as large as the ship, can attach to to form larger ships.
Need a DN? Link a few ships together. Don't need it anymore but need several ships? Unlink the DN and make more ships.
As far as when they are going to release it, who knows. SVC seems to have the Xorks mapped out already and will release them when they are ready.
There was a picture of a Xork ship on the ADB boards somewherre but I forget where it is.

I'll look around there a bit. If you spot it first, drop us a link?

Thanks for posting that Brez. Made me decide to hit the SFB boards a bit more. Especially since we're now in setup for Unity2.

Sounds neat, I look forward to seeing it. I wonder if they will have mutiny rules.

The X0 era has literally been done to death! When you release stats for National Guard ships, you know it is time to move on ;D
The stuff in X1R, XP (partial X upgrades), fleshing out the Andro-war timeline better, and moving on to X2 and beyond is the way to go. I love the early-mid stuff the best, but there is only so much you can add without it getting silly.
Hopefully we'll be able to mod OP to match the upcoming ADB products.

You mean this ship?
SVC:
Their ships are kinda-modular, kinda-not. There are a number of long "cores" to which one might attach 1 or 2 (perhaps more!) smaller modules. So you could have, let's say, a DW-core which with one combat module cranks up to CW in power and with two combat modules cranks up to CA and three to BCH.
Or you could mount other kinds of modules (scout, command, carrier, cargo) which basically produce a CWS, CWV, CWG, etc.
